Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep - Trench Safety in Baldwin Park, CA to drive revenue and manage customer relationships in a defined territory.

The role focuses on promoting trench safety equipment, demonstrating products, and training customers while leveraging Salesforce and other CRM tools to build a robust pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Knowledge of construction, trench safety or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and proven results considered.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiaries.
• Demonstrate and train customers on trench safety products.
• Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with general rentals representatives for cross selling.
• Instruct Competent Person Training & Confined Space Training classes.
• Install equipment and assist during installation as needed.
• Use Sales Force.com and other CRM tools to develop a pipeline of opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Customers will include contract companies and non-building, industrial and commercial building contractors.
