Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC seeks an Outside Loan Originator to originate residential mortgage loans and foster Realtor, builder, and partner relationships in the Boise area. You will market CCM products, leverage technology, and navigate transactions from application through closing.

You will build referral networks, analyze markets, and deliver a high-quality borrower experience while coordinating with processing and underwriting teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license is required.
• Experience proactively soliciting new business.
• Mortgage origination experience preferred.
• Encompass experience preferred.
• Knowledge of retail product philosophy, underwriting, procedures, documentation and systems.
• Knowledge of mortgage products and programs.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate credit requests and trends.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans.
• Build and maintain Realtor, builder, and partner relationships.
• Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks.
• Market CCM products to individuals and firms, meeting customer needs.
• Leverage technology and local support to grow efficiently.
• Meet with applicants to collect information for loan applications.
• Assess applicants’ finances, credit, and property values.
• Explain loan types, options, and terms to customers.
• Prepare complete loan applications with documents.
• Improve applications by informing applicants of additional requirements.
• Deliver a high-level borrower experience from application to closing.
• Assist customers by answering questions and fulfilling requests.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues as needed.
• Coordinate with real estate agents/referral sources.
• Consult processing and underwriting to resolve issues.
• Maintain job knowledge through learning and networking.
• Participate in sales activities, open houses, and CCM seminars/trainings.

Position Overview:

The Outside Loan Originator is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and supporting borrowers from application through closing. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with Realtors, builders, and other partners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Originate residential mortgage loans.
• Build and maintain Realtor, builder, and partner relationships.
• Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.
• Market CCM products to individuals and firms, promoting CCM services that may meet customers’ needs.
• Leverage technology and local support to grow efficiently.
• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
• Generate complete loan applications with corresponding documentation.
• Improve loan applications and documentation by informing the applicant of additional requirements.
• Deliver a high‑level borrower experience from application to closing.
• Help customers by answering questions and responding to requests.
• Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
• Own the communication with the real estate agent or referral source.
• Confer with processing and underwriting to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
• Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Regularly participate in activities in connection with mortgage sales, including but not limited to attend closings, open houses, and/or conduct CCM seminars/trainings and other lead‑generating activities.
• Mortgage coaching available.
