Role Description

The Outreach Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Anaheim, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the specialist engages with local communities, residential customers, and businesses to promote energy efficiency programs and services. Daily responsibilities include conducting outreach events, informational sessions, and door-to-door or phone-based engagement to explain available energy solutions and incentives. The Outreach Specialist responds to customer inquiries, gathers feedback, and collaborates with internal teams to improve outreach strategies and materials. The role also involves tracking outreach activities, maintaining accurate records, and preparing brief reports to support program goals and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Writing skills to explain energy efficiency solutions clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in written materials.
• Customer Service experience and Community Outreach abilities to build trust, answer questions, and engage diverse communities effectively.
• Research skills to understand energy efficiency programs, local community needs, and relevant market or regulatory developments.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (Anaheim-based with some remote work), manage time independently, and travel locally for events and outreach activities.
• Basic understanding or interest in energy efficiency, HVAC, or environmental solutions; prior experience in utilities, non-profit, or public outreach is a plus.
• Comfort using standard office software, CRM or outreach tracking tools, and digital communication platforms.
• Fluency in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valuable for serving diverse communities.
