Urban Street Angels in San Diego is seeking an Outreach Coordinator dedicated to helping homeless youth navigate support services. You will conduct field outreach, build relationships, and coordinate referrals to ensure individuals receive necessary assistance.
The ideal candidate should have over 12 years of experience working in crisis intervention, youth outreach, and must be knowledgeable about homelessness systems in San Diego.
This full-time position involves regular community engagement and requires reliable transportation.

Founded in 2012, Urban Street Angels is a San Diego based non-profit dedicated to supporting homeless youth through supportive housing, peer support, mentorship, mental health counseling, and job training initiatives, to develop a more employable workforce and cultivate personal responsibility. Of California's unhoused population, 50% cite they first had an experience with homelessness between the ages of 18 and 25. This critical demographic has the potential to leave the streets behind for good when provided with the support needed to make a change in their lives. Urban Street Angels has made it our mission to serve this under-supported group, and in so doing, make meaningful progress toward ending homelessness in San Diego and beyond.
Title: Outreach Coordinator
Position Summary: The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for engaging youth experiencing homelessness (ages 1825) across San Diego County and connecting them to Urban Street Angels Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) program, support services, and community resources. This role conducts field-based outreach, builds relationships with youth in crisis, coordinates referrals with community partners, and ensures warm handoffs into the BHBH program and supportive services. The Outreach Coordinator promotes a trauma-informed, Housing First, youth-centered approach in all interactions.
