Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group in Boise, ID is seeking an MD/DO to join a growing wound care and hyperbaric medicine program. The schedule is a traditional clinic work week, M-F, with no less than 32 hours of patient contact time; PRN call coverage.

The ideal candidate has a strong family practice and/or emergency medicine background and will manage chronic and acute wounds, edema/lymphedema, and hyperbaric needs, with on-site consults from SAMG plastics/reconstructive surgery and telemedicine

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted MD or DO required.
• Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Must obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to practice in all areas served.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for a full spectrum of wound care patients at SARMC and across SAHS.
• Manage chronic and acute wounds, edema/lymphedema and hyperbaric needs.
• Coordinate on-site consultations with SAMG plastics/reconstructive surgeon; intermittent telemedicine consultations.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 800+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a MD to join a rapidly expanding wound care and hyperbaric medicine program (both locally and to outlying areas). The selected individual will provide services for a full spectrum of wound care patients at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) and across the Saint Alphonsus Health System (SAHS). SARMC is a leading provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary wound care services within the region, offering the most advanced treatment for wound care.

Requirements include a strong family practice and/or emergency medicine background; a sincere desire to practice in a clinic setting managing the treatment of patients with chronic/acute wounds, edema/lymphedema and hyperbaric medicine needs to include intermittent robotic telemedicine consultations (via the University of Utah) and in onsite consultation with a SAMG plastics/reconstructive surgeon on the SARMC medical staff

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
• A strong medical background and a desire to provide acute care to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain an Idaho/Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System's general internal program across all communities we serve.
• Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA
