Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver outpatient weight management care, focusing on bariatric and GLP-1 therapies. The role involves collaboration with surgeons, obesity medicine physicians, APPs, and support staff, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and dedicated admin time.

Ideal candidates bring AHP background in primary care, internal medicine, or weight management, and possess Ohio licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program, MPAS preferred.
• Current license to practice as an advanced practice provider in Ohio.
• Minimum one year experience as advanced practice provider preferred.
• BLS certification.
• For RNs or NPs in the surgical weight loss program, Bariatric Nurse (CBN) certification within two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient weight management care and direct patient care.
• Coordinate with surgeons, obesity medicine physicians, APPs, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists.
• Maintain quality of care using established standards and coordinate with the care team.
