Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital serving North Texas. The Outpatient Therapist will support the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs with administrative tasks, assessments, discharge planning, and group/individual therapy to help deliver a successful program.

The role requires strong clinical assessment skills, experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and Texas licensure (LCSW/LMSW/LPC).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related mental health field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility with experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
• Licensed in Texas: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC-Associate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
• Ensure Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies are followed on the unit.
• Process unusual occurrence reports, conduct investigations and corrective plans when needed.

Position Summary

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing support to the day-to-day operations of the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs including, but not limited to: administrative functions, utilization review, assessment, discharge planning, group/individual therapy, case management, and other duties related to delivering a successful program.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Program Therapist requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Outpatient experience preferred.

License: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC-Associate to practice in the State of Texas.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR and approved HWC training. Certification may be obtained during new hire orientation. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
