Job summary

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking dedicated LMSW/LCSW/LPC Therapists to provide therapeutic services to patients in a freestanding facility serving adults, adolescents, and special populations. The role emphasizes patient-centered care with opportunities to grow within the UHS family.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work or related field, Texas licensure (LCSW/LMSW), CPR and Handle With Care certs, and a minimum of two years in a psychiatric setting with experience in family

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and develop psychological history.

• Prepare monthly treatment summaries.
• Act as patient and family contact during stay.
• Serve as patient advocate with the treatment team.
• Liaise with outside agencies to coordinate discharge planning.

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122 bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women's services. The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyer land shopping districts, and is only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown. LMSW/LCSW /LPC Therapist

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking dedicated and talented Program Therapists (LMSW/LCSW /LPC) to provide therapeutic services to patients. LMSW/LCSW /LPC Key Responsibilities include:

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills strongly preferred.

License: Program Therapist must possess licensure in the State of Texas as a LCSW or LMSW.

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
