Job summary

Penny Lane Centers in North Hills, CA is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide mental health services in clinic, school, and client homes. You will work with clients referred from DMH, DCFS, and Penny Lane programs, collaborating with Case Managers and treatment teams to link families to community services and document services as required.

• Active APCC Intern, MFT Intern or ASW Intern registered with the BBS.
• Or active Licensed LPCC, LMFT, LCSW or Psychologist.
• Post Master’s clinical work treating children and/or adolescents preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required (verbal and written).
• Valid California driver’s license; have and maintain car insurance and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health services (individual, group, and family therapy) in clinic, school, and client homes.
• Collaborate with Case Manager and treatment team to link families to community services.

• Assess level of care and stabilize clients in crisis; coordinate care with Penny Lane staff and outside agencies.

Job Summary:

Outpatient Therapists provide mental health services including individual, group and family therapy in the clinic, school and client's home. Therapists will be working with clients referred from DMH, DCFS, other provider agencies and all Penny Lane programs. Therapists work collaboratively with the Case Manager and treatment team to assess and link the families to needed community services and coordinate all the services that the client receives. Therapists document all service according to DMH and Penny Lane documentation guidelines.

The Outpatient Therapist possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with clients, outside agencies, members of the community, and co-workers. When in a client's home or school the Outpatient Therapist will employ a calm demeanor and good ethical and professional boundaries. Excellent clinical skills are used to assess the appropriate level of care for clients and stabilize clients in crisis. Teaming, collaborating and coordination of care with all Penny Lane staff, DCFS, DMH, and other outside agencies is crucial. This position requires flexibility, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently with little supervision.

Requirements:

• Active APCC Intern, MFT Intern or ASW Intern registered with the BBS.

• Knowledge of DMH paperwork.


• Bilingual Spanish Required (verbal and written skillset).


• Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Salary Range:

$71,299 - $89,210 per year

Benefits:

• Additional $5,000 per year bilingual Spanish differential.

• Medical benefits are effective the first of the month upon hire, not to exceed 31 days.
