Qualifications

• Education in Surgical Tech, Sterile Processing Tech, or Dental Assistant training.
• Experience not required.
• HS diploma or equivalent allowed with 6 months hospital/clinical experience in lieu of education.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification is preferred; obtain CRCST within 1 year if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Process contaminated instruments and equipment per Infection Control guidelines.
• Assemble instrument sets and document missing items on count sheets.
• Sterilize equipment using autoclaves and high-level disinfection methods.
• Record biological/chemical monitor results and maintain logs.
• Issue items to customers and departments following procedures.
• Coach and train coworkers and assist with onboarding.
