Washington University in St. Louis in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care and education in an outpatient setting.

Work week is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with potential coverage across multiple clinic locations to support providers. The role involves triage, patient education, pre- and post-operative care, coordination with MAs and other RNs, and collaboration with the surgery department to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, per Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required; online certifications without skills assessment not sufficient.
• No specific work experience required for this position.
• Willingness to work across multiple clinic locations as needed.
• Knowledge of EPIC EHR systems is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and perform procedures per approved nursing practice.
• Counsel patients and families on disease processes and symptom management.
• Maintain medical records with timely documentation.
• Consult with health care team to adjust nursing care for optimal outcomes.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, prescriptions, and related tasks.
• Maintain skills via ongoing education and CPR training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
