Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Maryland seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted programs, conduct group and individual sessions, and collaborate with doctors and therapists to optimize treatment outcomes.

You will assess progress, help develop treatment and discharge plans, involve families when possible, and respond to patient concerns, with total compensation including benefits.

Qualifications

• Initial assessment and evaluation interviews to determine service eligibility.
• Involve families and significant others in patient’s recovery when possible.
• Establish and review the initial treatment plan with each patient.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints as needed.
• Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans.
