Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology to evaluate patients of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders. The Fellow operates under supervision by an ASHA-certified and state-licensed SLP to develop and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities include completing evaluations, documenting progress, and delivering patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting, with emphasis on safety, compassion, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current intern license to practice Speech/Language Pathology by the Texas State Board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluation of patients with referrals.
• Develops a written plan of care and goals based on evaluation findings.
• Implements a Speech-Language Pathology treatment program and reassesses status.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Documents in the medical record and supports education within the clinic.
