Job summary

Highmark Health in Erie, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for an outpatient setting to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for individuals or families.

In this full-time role, you will lead nursing care with an interdisciplinary team, promote patient safety, document changes, and support continuous professional development.

Current PA RN licensure, CPR, and Act 34/33/73 clearances are required; certification in specialty area is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assess human responses and plan nursing care for patients.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care based on individual patient needs.
• Provide transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Promote continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
