A healthcare facility in South Carolina is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform various technical tasks related to operating radiographic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a completed AMA-approved Radiology Technology program. Responsibilities include providing excellent patient service, operating x-ray equipment, and ensuring high-quality imaging. A valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist and a BLS certification are required. This position involves a PRN schedule primarily on the first shift.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years’ experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy and radiographic exposure required.
Proficiency in radiation protection practices required.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and family members with exemplary customer service.
Operate x-ray equipment and adjust for proper exposure techniques.
Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
Position patients for each anatomical view.
Monitor equipment and assist with fluoroscopic procedures.
Process images for optimal quality.
Critique positioning and technical factors.
Rotate through the on-call schedule with other technologists.
