Job summary

Veterans Health Administration (VA) is seeking a Physician specializing in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine to provide ambulatory care at the East Orange campus. The physician will evaluate and longitudinally manage a spectrum of pulmonary and sleep disorders for Veterans, including sleep-related breathing disorders.

The role includes ordering and interpreting sleep testing, supervision of residents, and optional participation in inpatient coverage.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from LCME-accredited medical school or DO from COCA-accredited school.
• ECFMG eligibility for foreign medical graduates as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine services for Veterans.
• Diagnose and manage sleep-disordered breathing and related disorders.
• Order and interpret diagnostic sleep tests and related labs.
• Teach and supervise residents and fellows rotating in the department.
• Participate in CQI and quality initiatives and program development.
