Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure or eligibility to practice as PTA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with solid documentation skills.
• Experience as PTA in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with therapy exercises and treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the PT.
• Communicate regularly with PT on patient progress.
• Guide patients in therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Maintain caseload and ensure attendance adherence.
• Aid in administering therapies and set up equipment.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and findings.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and home care.
• Collaborate with PTs and healthcare team for comprehensive care.
