Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility interventions.
• Assist patients with early mobilization following surgery, illness, or injury.
• Monitor vital signs and patient response to activity, reporting changes to the PT and medical team.
• Support safe patient handling and use of assistive devices.
• Document treatments and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and discharge recommendations.
• Maintain infection control and hospital safety standards.
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care.
