Job summary

Mercy seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. You will assess, plan, and implement outpatient therapy programs to restore function, mobility, and relieve pain for diverse patients.

Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other therapists, you will document in the EMR, adjust plans based on progress, and educate patients on home programs and prevention. Ongoing learning and team care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT in the state of practice with current credentials.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Outpatient orthopedics or sports rotations are preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat outpatient patients to restore function and mobility.
• Develop and implement outpatient plans of care for diverse caseload.
• Provide hands‑on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Document evaluations, progress, and discharge in EMR.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on response.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and ethical standards.
• Participate in continuing education and quality improvement.
• Mentor students or junior staff as assigned.
