Job summary

OrthoIndy in Lafayette, IN is hiring a Physical Therapist for outpatient care. The role focuses on evaluative and rehabilitative services for post-operative and non-operative cases involving spine and extremities, with Monday-Friday 8-hour clinic days.

Requirements include a Science Bachelor’s degree, Indiana PT licensure, and 1-2 years of PT experience preferred; a Master’s in Physical Therapy is preferred, with full benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science is required.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Indiana is required.
• 1-2 years of Physical Therapy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation protocols based on physician order or non-operative management.
• Documents all treatment procedures and patient status in the EMR; communicates changes to nursing staff and physicians.
• Educates patients on injury/pathology and rehabilitation goals; discusses prognosis and expected recovery.
• Explains patient status and needs to family members to support independence in daily living.
• Participates in Therapy Department quality control audits and improvement activities.
• Organizes patient treatment times and coordinates scheduling.
• Maintains organized, stocked, and clean work area.

Bachelor's degree in Science
