Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Licensure in Rhode Island (or eligibility) is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance and adjusting to disabilities.
• Interpret evaluations and test results to determine treatment goals and plans.
• Administer manual and therapeutic exercises; educate patients in activities and use of devices.
• Supervise PTAs in accordance with policy and state regulations.
• Discuss evaluation results, goals, and plans with patients and families.
• Participate in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
