Job summary

Meridian Counseling, located in Ogden, Utah, is hiring a Psychiatrist to join their team offering compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services. The role includes conducting evaluations, medication management, and collaborating with a team of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO degree, board certification in Psychiatry, and experience in outpatient settings. This part-time position allows flexible scheduling and hybrid work options, within a supportive environment focused on clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified and or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted California medical license.
• DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• Experience providing outpatient psychiatric medication management.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor medication effectiveness and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with therapists and provide crisis intervention.
• Provide clinical consultation and mentorship to PMHNPs.
