Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a psychiatrist to provide outpatient care for veteran patients at the Fayetteville VA Coastal Healthcare System. Responsibilities include initial evaluations, medication management, and coordinating care within BHSL.

Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call coverage as needed; EDRP, recruitment and relocation incentives may be available. Open continuous announcement supports telehealth and full licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Experience providing telehealth care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric services to veteran patients.
• Perform initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Coordinate care with BHSL and other specialties as needed.
• Enter documentation into CPRS on the day of visit.
• Respond to on-call coverage and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
