MedStar Washington Hospital Center is seeking a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team in Washington, DC. The position emphasizes comprehensive outpatient care within a collaborative academic health system.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Washington, DC.
• Open to experienced psychiatrists and new graduates.
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up for adult outpatient patients.
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, case managers, and other team members.
• Coordinate referrals and continuity of care as needed.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and other trainees.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Support quality improvement and departmental initiatives.
