Job summary

Summa Health in Green, Ohio, near Akron and Canton, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist for an outpatient behavioral health role. You will join a multidisciplinary team in a program with strong referral base, academic involvement, and access to comprehensive services.

The position features a Monday–Friday outpatient schedule, limited call, and opportunities to teach residents and medical students as NEOMED affiliates. Epic EMR supports care delivery.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN).
• Eligible for an unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system.
• Participate in call coverage as assigned.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship activities for residents and medical students, if desired.
• Participate in research and academic activities as appropriate.
