Job summary

HSHS St. John's Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Outpatient Rehabilitation team serving the Greater Springfield, IL area.

The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to deliver individualized care, implement treatment plans, and monitor progress across diverse specialty areas. The role supports a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours weekly available, and flexible options including four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program meeting licensure requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in rehab settings.
• Current state licensure or eligibility; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused PTA care under PT supervision and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support outpatient services growth.
