Qualifications

• Must be CPR certified or eligible for CPR certification.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervises and directs clients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assesses client precautions and needs before each session.
• Requests additional help if needed.
• Uses proper techniques when guiding clients on/off exercise equipment.
• Applies safety precautions at all times when assisting clients.
• Handles equipment properly and carefully.
• Helps with other duties whenever possible.
• Assists therapists with patient care tasks.
• Assists therapists in transferring patients from one surface to another.
• Assists therapists in evaluation procedures.
• Assists therapists in treatments.
• Gathers equipment for the therapists.
• Assists therapists in the aquatic area with patient transfers, positioning, wound care and wound dressing.
• Demonstrates behaviors that show a positive attitude, empathy and professionalism.
• Demonstrates communication skills by making customers feel welcome and respected while protecting privacy.
