Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required or eligible for federal employment as per VA policy.
• Education and experience requirements: one of the following educational paths with independent clinical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy AND five (5) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy AND two (2) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist.
• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and establish a diagnosis within the scope of physical therapy.
• Develop and implement PT plans of care and determine prognosis and goals.
• Provide autonomous clinical decision-making in direct access and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Oversee and supervise PT aides and students on clinical affiliations.
• Coordinate patient care with respect to caseload, referrals, and documentation.
• Assist in ordering supplies and ensure safety and infection control within the clinic.
