Mercy Hospital St. Louis- Therapy and Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to join our team.

The role involves performing objective assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients, with supervision responsibilities for staff and assistants as required. The position requires a Bachelor's, MS in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy, with a current/temporary PT license in the state and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s, MS in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in the state.
• BLS certification must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year of experience preferred for rehabilitation PT, with adult and geriatric care experience preferred.

• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Shift: Per diem - Days and evenings

Education: Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before being assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year of experience is preferred for a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
