Job summary

Select Medical in Schererville is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will support licensed PTs, help develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population.

This role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, starting pay around $26 per hour, and industry-leading continuing education plus mentorship and career development opportunities. Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Valid state license as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Graduated from an approved PTA program and CAPTE-certified.
• CPR certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
