American Traveler is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for an outpatient position in Stockton, California. This 13-week assignment requires a California PT license, with 1 year of experience, and a 40-hour work week on a daytime shift.

The role involves outpatient rehab, EMR documentation, and collaboration with physicians and office staff to ensure quality care. Lifting, mobility assistance, and patient transfers are required.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Physical Therapist
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers and mobility
• 8-10 hour work days and ability to stand/walk/sit for long periods
• EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in outpatient rehabilitation programs.
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in patient care.
• Communicates with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
• Works closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up.
• Familiarity with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, and liens.
• Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services.
• Complies with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
