Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Phlebotomist to join our Village Pointe Health Center team. You will manage a high volume of patient collections, charting, and order entry in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Strong blood draw skills are essential. Candidates should be 18+, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and solid communication, teamwork and computer skills. Schedule: 40 hr/wk, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday call at Oakview Health Center.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Computer experience required.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport patient specimens for clinical testing.
• Perform procedures using point-of-care instrumentation.
• Document results and maintain accurate charting.
• Provide courteous customer service to patients.
• Adhere to department policies and safety regulations.
