Responsibilities may include preparing, packaging, labeling, and distributing unit-dose and stock medications; assisting with outpatient prescription processing; staging and delivering medications and supplies to patient care areas; maintaining medication inventory through restocking, rotation, and monitoring of storage conditions; and supporting the accurate completion of required documentation and records. The technician utilizes area-specific technology and equipment—including automation, robotics, dispensing systems, and pharmacy information systems—to execute workflows, troubleshoot routine issues, and maintain medication integrity and security, including proper handling of controlled substances per policy.
