Job summary

MultiCare Health System, Inc. seeks an outpatient Pharmacy Technician at Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, WA. This part-time staff-level role supports non-discretionary pharmacy operations, including order processing, stock control, and data entry in the pharmacy computer system.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, WA State Pharmacy Technician Certification, and ideally NPTC certification. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred, with on-site duties and variable shifts to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
• Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts; verify items received against invoices.
• Store items received and maintain stock levels, dating and initialing invoices/packing slips.
• Enter customer’s medication and billing information into the computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.
