01 ETCH East Tennessee Children's Hospital Association, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee inpatient and outpatient medication use, dispense medications, and maintain accurate patient profiles.
The role includes evaluating orders for appropriate use and supervising technicians and students. The position requires strong communication, collaboration with nurses and physicians, and adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws within a pediatric hospital setting.
Licensed pharmacist with a working knowledge of pharmacy and clinical applications related to pharmacy. The pharmacist dispenses medications and pharmaceutical preparations as prescribed by the provider. The pharmacist maintains proper records (i.e. computerized patient profiles) and supplies information regarding pharmaceuticals to hospital staff and patients. Evaluates medication orders for appropriate medication use.
Supervisory Responsibilities: YES; Pharmacy Technicians/Interns/Students Minimum Education: Bachelors Required in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy Preferred License/Certification Required: Pharmacy license in the State of Tennessee, Board Certification Preferred Minimum Work Experience: 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong communication, mathematical, and computer skills.
