Job summary

Atrium Health Union - Outpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join its outpatient clinic. The role focuses on patient evaluation, care planning, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to restore function after injuries or surgeries.

This 36-hour per week position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for clinical leadership, mentoring, and potential to float to regional clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• State license for Occupational Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Outpatient rehabilitation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient's medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning.
• Acts as patient advocate; treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care safely and timely.
• Demonstrates clinical reasoning and skills to conduct accurate assessments and patient care activities; evaluates effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Identifies the normal course of illness in assigned patient population and intervenes when deviations occur.
• Communicates patient information and documents therapist's actions and plan of care.
• Provides clinical leadership and mentoring.
