Htprof is seeking an Occupational Therapist for outpatient care in Ithaca, NY. This full-time, days FLEX role supports a community-based rehab program within a medical center.

You will conduct thorough evaluations, design personalized therapy plans to improve daily living, document progress, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes. A bachelors degree in OT is required; OT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited occupational therapy Bachelor's program.
• Occupational Therapy experience a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop personalized therapy plans aimed at improving daily living skills and overall functionality.
• Design and implement customized therapy programs based on patient evaluations, focusing on rehabilitation, adaptation, and enhancing motor skills.
• Track and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and achievement of therapeutic goals.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve independence, manage daily activities, and utilize adaptive equipment for enhanced quality of life.
