Job summary

Health First in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Oncology Clinic RN to join a multidisciplinary team in outpatient care, acting as a patient advocate and care coordinator across the continuum of care.

You will educate patients and families, manage treatment plans, and support safe chemotherapy processes in coordination with infusion and pharmacy staff. Florida RN license and oncology experience are required.

Qualifications

• ASN/ADN/AAS from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1-3 years in an Oncology clinic setting.
• Valid Florida RN license.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Fundamentals of Administration Course within six months of hire.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Oncology background in the clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the multidisciplinary team approach to connect patients with integrated, comprehensive oncology services.
• Track and follow up on treatment plans and assist with referrals to resources.
• Serve as the central contact for oncology navigated patients and coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families via phone or written materials.
• Demonstrate efficiency with orders and data entry in oncology EMR.
• Provide patient support and phone triage for oncology patients.
• Follow NCCN guidelines and coordinate with infusion/pharmacy for chemotherapy.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Assist with daily oncology telephone triage.
• Maintain clinical competency for assigned clinic duties.
• Adhere to medication management and clinical procedures.
