Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

• Minimum one year of oncology nursing experience.
• ONC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments for oncology patients, including symptom evaluation and treatment readiness.
• Monitors patient response to cancer therapies and escalation of concerns as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care in the ambulatory oncology clinic within RN scope and protocols.
• Collaborates with physicians, navigators, pharmacists, and team members for timely, coordinated care.
• Educates patients on pre-treatment requirements, post-procedure expectations, and survivorship needs.
• Works with Oncology Nurse Navigators to ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
• Facilitates access to care by managing follow-up, referrals, and coordination.
• Documents assessments, interventions, education, and care coordination in EMR.
• Practices within RN licensure scope and oncology nursing standards.
• Engages in ongoing professional development to maintain oncology knowledge and certification readiness.
