Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Oncology Nurse to lead the Cancer Institute team by building authentic, personalized relationships with patients and their support systems. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in outpatient settings, delivering evidence-based, compassionate nursing care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure.
• Oncology nursing certification (OCN, BMT) within 30 months of employment.
• Experience: 1–2 years nursing, preferably in oncology, required.

• Providing safe, high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Educating patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Advocating for patients while fostering a supportive and compassionate care environment.
• Demonstrating accountability for clinical decision-making and nursing practice in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards.
