Job summary

Carle Health seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across a broad rehabilitative spectrum. You’ll serve diverse ages and act as a clinical resource for staff and students, contributing to quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.
• Completion of required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient transfers with appropriate body mechanics and safety awareness.
• Design and adjust a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educate patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluate clinical findings to determine PT/OT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Complete examinations using reliable methods relevant to presenting issues.
• Screen patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness of services.
• Supervise support personnel and provide feedback as needed.
• Document evaluations and plans of care per department policy.
