North Country Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, general, and complex medical conditions in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.

The role emphasizes functional outcomes using ADLs, therapeutic activities, exercise, and modalities. Must be eligible for NH licensure and perform timely documentation, discharge planning, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must be eligible for licensure to practice occupational therapy in the State of New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with orthopedic, neurological, general and complex medical conditions in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Bases evaluation and treatment on functional outcomes using ADLs, therapeutic activities and exercise, manual techniques, and modalities.
• Completes evaluations, re-evaluations, treatment plans, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Participates in discharge planning and home programs; coordinates with community resources and referrals.
• Provides patient and family education and in-service activities within the department and hospital.
• Maintains productivity and provides coverage in other Occupational Therapy areas when needed.
