Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a General Neurologist to join the Outpatient Neurology Service at the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, OH. The role supports an outpatient practice with inpatient coverage and teaching opportunities within a large affiliated system.

Employed position with a strong referral base, access to extensive in-house labs/imaging, and potential for academic appointments at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Epic EMR is used across the system.

Qualifications

• Neurology board certification eligibility.
• Current unrestricted license or ability to obtain a license to practice medicine in Ohio.
• Willingness to participate in teaching, lectures, resident sessions.
• Commitment to quality care in a patient-centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology care in an established practice.
• Inpatient coverage for neuro-hospitalist, neurocritical care, stroke, and epilepsy monitoring unit.
• Collaborate with neurophysiology lab and in-house imaging and labs.
• Engage in research, teaching, and innovation opportunities.
