Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a General Neurologist to join our expanding outpatient neurology service at the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, OH. The employed position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a broad mix of outpatient and inpatient neurology coverage.

Clinical duties include contributing to an expanding outpatient neurology service, supporting inpatient stroke, epilepsy monitoring, and neurophysiology labs, with potential for academic appointment and research involvement.

Qualifications

• Neurology board certification eligibility.
• Unrestricted license to practice in Ohio or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to participate in teaching and resident sessions.
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology services within the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute.
• Inpatient coverage includes neuro-hospitalist, neurocritical care, stroke, and epilepsy monitoring.
• Engage in teaching, research and potential academic activities.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflows.

Candidate Qualifications
