Job summary

Region 8 Mental Health in Mississippi is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to provide direct outpatient services for substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring disorders under the TRACE program. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. You will develop and implement treatment plans, deliver therapy, maintain documentation per state standards, participate in staff meetings, and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Must possess a professional license (LPC, P-LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LMSW) or be eligible to earn a DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Therapist, or Addictions Therapist.
• Must maintain a valid MS driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains documentation as evidence that all duties are completed in accordance with program requirements.
• Represents Region 8 and Administration in a positive manner.
• Provides a minimum of 5 hours/day of direct face-to-face services to consumers.
• Provides 24-hour on-call crisis intervention as scheduled.
• Develops and implements treatment plans and provides therapy services.
• Participates in clinical staff meetings and in-service training.
• Provides transportation for consumers as needed.
• Builds relationships with referral sites and the community.
