Job summary

Geisinger in Scranton, PA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for an outpatient clinic. The role requires CMA or RMA certification, and graduates of 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma programs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians in outpatient settings.
• Performs duties such as prepping patients, collecting data, and documenting in EMR.
• Provides administrative support including scheduling, filing reports and handling billing inquiries.
