Job summary

UPMC is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Outpatient, for the Women’s Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery team in Carlisle. Hours are days, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with no evenings or weekends. Travel up to 50% to assist with staffing at Carlisle, Gettysburg, and Mechanicsburg offices.

Sign-on bonus and excellent benefits are offered. The role requires an LPN license, 1+ year of clinical experience preferred, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure is required.
• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood.
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient condition.
• Document in medical records and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform IV therapy under RN direction.
• Educate patients and families as directed.
