Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant for the outpatient clinic with late afternoon/evening hours. The role offers flexible scheduling, requiring at least 2 shifts per week (3-hour minimum) between 3-8pm.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.

Therapist can choose their own hours, and days that work best for their schedule. But this position will require at least 2 shifts per week (3-hour minimum shift) between the hours of 3-8pm. This position will carry out established treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, increasing strength, and other physical therapy related goals with various populations.

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.

Other Skills and Qualifications

• Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.

Work Environment

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.

Physical Requirements

• Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
