Job summary

Klamath Health Partnership in Oregon is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join our outpatient team. Provide evidence-based, adult primary care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support prevention, diagnosis, and ongoing management of patient health.

This position emphasizes comprehensive care, coordination of referrals, and adherence to credentialing requirements, with a focus on underserved populations in the Klamath Basin.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Unrestricted Oregon medical license (or eligibility).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Successful completion of KHP credentialing and privileging.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope outpatient internal medicine care within approved privileges.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic adult medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and health screenings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, specialty evaluations).
• Prescribe medications and treatments within regulatory requirements.
• Perform procedures consistent with internal medicine training and privileging.
• Coordinate specialty referrals when needed.
• Document care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain required CME, licensure, certification, and credentialing.
• Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, nursing, pharmacy, and care management teams.
