Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician to join the Internal Medicine Catawba outpatient practice in Hickory, North Carolina. This full-time position features 36 patient-facing hours with 4 administrative hours, practical scheduling, and strong support staff to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• DEA certification
• Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
• J-1 candidates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• 100% outpatient internal medicine care.
• Light telephone-only call rotation; no in-hospital call requirements.
• Coordinate care with a strong administrative and clinical team and Epic DAX Copilot documentation tool.
